K 2013 and Metabolix: Innovative Solutions and Trendsetting Products

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Oct. 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Metabolix is in the homestretch for K 2013.  The booth is done, the in-booth video is done, the production of samples and giveaways are done, and scheduling meetings with customers are in full swing.  In just 10 days, the U.S.-based Metabolix team will be heading to Dusseldorf to join our Cologne-based biopolymers team for the show.

Metabolix will highlight three products at K 2013 in addition to showing a few other products including biobased color masterbatches and a line of bio-composite resins. 

Mvera™ B5010, from Metabolix, is a new, certified compostable film grade resin. In addition to being compostable, Mvera bags are strong and resistant to tearing, yet soft to the touch.

I6003rp: Earlier this week, Metabolix officially announced the launch of I6003rp, a new biobased performance additive which improves the processing and properties of recycled PVC.

I6001: Metabolix launched I6001 almost a year ago as a biobased polymeric modifier for flexible and semi-rigid PVC.
