Jobe Elected to SWS Group, Inc. Board of Directors; Founder and Chairman of Legal Network Ltd. Named to Fill Vacancy

DALLAS, July 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Dallas businessman Larry A. Jobe, 65, has been elected to the Board of Directors of SWS Group, Inc. , a Dallas-based investment and financial services holding company. He will serve on the board's Audit Committee. Mr. Jobe, a certified public accountant, is founder and Chairman of the Board of Legal Network Ltd., and founder and President of P 1 Resources, L.L.C. (formerly National Corporate Network). Both companies are based in Dallas.

In 1993, Mr. Jobe founded Legal Network, Ltd., a company that provides litigation support, temporary support staff and contract attorneys to law firms and corporate legal departments. A year later, he also founded P 1 Resources, L.L.C., which provides engineering and light industrial staffing services to the construction industry. He is also a former senior member of public accounting firm Grant Thornton LLP. In addition to having served as a member of Grant Thornton's Executive Committee, Mr. Jobe served as Managing Partner of the Dallas office from 1973-1986 and as Regional Managing Partner of the Southwest Region from 1983-1991.

From 1969 to 1972, Mr. Jobe served as United States Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Administration with responsibilities that included the functional areas of program evaluation, budgeting, accounting, personnel, auditing, management and organization, data processing and emergency readiness. In 1971, he was recipient of a Presidential Commendation for Improving Federal Financial Management.

An active member of a number of corporate and civic boards, Mr. Jobe serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Independent Bank of Texas and as a member of the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors of U.S. Home Systems, Inc. He is also Chairman of the Board of Dallas Seminary Foundation and a board member of Grace Academy and the University of North Texas Foundation. He is Chairman of the Finance Committee and Past Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dallas Theological Seminary, and he is a former board member of the Dallas Citizens Council.

Mr. Jobe is a founding member of the Chief Executives Round Table, an organization whose membership is limited to 45 CEOs representing different industries. He is also Past Chairman of the Committee on Professional Schools and Programs of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Mr. Jobe earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in 1961 from the University of North Texas, where he was graduated Summa Cum Laude. He has been honored with UNT's Outstanding Alumnus Award (1975), President's Service Award (1986) and Green Glory Award (1990). He has been listed in Who's Who in America since 1970 and received many awards for his service, leadership and accomplishments.
