Highwoods Properties CFO Terry Stevens To Retire - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Highwoods Properties, Inc. (HIW) announced that Terry Stevens, Senior Vice President and CFO, will retire at the end of September. Stevens will be succeeded by Mark Mulhern, who currently serves on the Board of Directors, and is currently the CFO of Dallas-based Exco Resources, Inc. (XCO).

Mulhern has served on the Board since January 2012. Mulhern will step down as a director prior to joining the company. The Board will be reduced from eight to seven and Charles Anderson, an independent director, will replace Mulhern as a member of the audit committee.

Mulhern joined Exco as executive vice president and chief financial officer in April 2013. Prior to Exco, he served as senior vice president and chief financial officer of Progress Energy, Inc. from September 2008 until its merger with Duke Energy Corporation in July 2012.
