Hexcel Corp. Q3 Profit Increases, but misses estimates

(RTTNews) - Hexcel Corp. (HXL) released a profit for its third quarter that increased from last year but missed the Street estimates.

The company's earnings totaled $38.7 million, or $0.45 per share. This compares with $26.8 million, or $0.31 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Excluding items, Hexcel Corp. reported adjusted earnings of $32.5 million or $0.38 per share for the period.

Analysts on average had expected the company to earn $0.43 per share, according to figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company's revenue for the quarter rose 15.0% to $419.5 million from $364.7 million last year.
