Herbalife Signs Volleyball Pro Sean Scott To Season Sponsorship

Former Olympic bronze medallist Elaine Youngs and her partnerRachel Wacholder are also sponsored by Herbalife. The players will befeatured in various promotions for Herbalife and its Liftoff(TM)brand, which is the Official Energy Drink of the AVP Volleyball Tourthrough 2007.

Scott, 32, considers himself one of the shorter players at 6 feet5 inches. He began playing volleyball at 15 and continued to playwhile attending the University of Hawaii. A native of Kailua, Hawaii,Scott was awarded the AVP Most Improved Player 2005. He won his firstTour title in 2004 at the Tempe Open with partner Todd Rogers. The duoalso won the "Best of the Beach" in Honolulu in 2005.

Herbalife continues its multi-year sponsorship as nutritionaladvisor of the AVP Tour which kicks off March 31st in Ft. Lauderdale,Fla., followed by tournaments in Tempe, Ariz., several locations inCalif., Brooklyn, N.Y., Boulder, Colo., Las Vegas, Nev., and LakeTahoe, Nev. The AVP Tour is a national touring series that featuresmore than 150 of the nation's top male and female professional beachvolleyball players. Herbalife will have a presence at all Tour eventswith guaranteed rotational signage and static center court banners.Herbalife will also receive commercial units during AVP broadcasts onNBC and Fox Sports Net. Additionally, Herbalife independentdistributors will sample several of the company's brands at allevents.

In June 2005, Herbalife and the AVP announced a multi-milliondollar sponsorship through the 2007 season. The agreement was extendedthe following August making Herbalife the "Official Health andWellness Partner" as well as the "Official Nutritional Advisor" of theAVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour.
