Herbalife Q3 Profit Rises

(RTTNews) - Herbalife Ltd. (HLF) Monday reported third-quarter net income rose to $142.0 million or $1.32 per share, up from $111.9 million or $0.98 per share last year.

Adjusted earnings for the quarter rose to $1.41 per share from $0.98 per share last year.

Sales for the quarter rose to $1.21 billion from $1.02 billion last year. Analysts estimated revenues of $1.19 billion last year.

Looking forward to the fourth quarter, the company expects adjusted earnings of $1.11 to $1.15 per share, with sales growth of 13.5 to 15.5 percent. Analysts currently estimate earnings of $1.15 per share on revenue growth of 15.90 percent.

Herbalife raised its outlook for the full year 2013. The company now expects adjusted earnings of $5.19 to $5.23 per share and sales growth of 17 to 17.5 percent. Analysts currently estimate earnings of $4.99 per share on revenue growth of 16.90 percent.

Previously, the company expected earnings of $4.83 to $4.95 per share, and sales growth of 16 to 18 percent.

For the full year 2014, the company expects adjusted earnings of $5.45 to $5.65 per share, on revenue growth of 9 to 11 percent. Analysts currently estimate earnings of $5.66 per share on revenue growth of 10.40 percent.
