Herb Yardley helps breathe new life to Museum of Discovery and Science

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Nov. 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- In the early 70's, Catherine Yardley was part of the leading force that founded the original Discovery Center. That Discovery Center would turn into the Museum of Discovery and Science we know today.

Now, Catherine Yardley, wife of Herb Yardley, suffers from COPD. This disease blocks airflow and makes it difficult to breath.

To help educate the public about lung diseases, Mr. and Mrs. Yardley have donated $250,000 to add a "powerful lung" to the health exhibit hall.

This new addition will be part of the Expansion and Renovation Campaign for the museum.
