Genesco Inc. Q3 Income Rises 6%

(RTTNews) - Genesco Inc. (GCO) released a profit for its third quarter that rose from last year.

The company said its bottom line came in at $32.2 million, or $1.40 per share. This was higher than $30.3 million, or $1.28 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.30 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 7.1% to $773.90 million. This was up from $722.92 million last year.
