Gary Dobel Joins EasyLink to Lead Transaction Management Services Sale

PISCATAWAY, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 16, 2005--EasyLink Services Corporation, (NASDAQ: EASY), a leading global provider of services that power the exchange of information between enterprises, their trading communities and their customers, today announced that Gary Dobel has joined EasyLink as its Vice President of Sales, reporting to Gary MacPhee, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Transaction Management Services. Dobel is the senior-most sales executive for EasyLink's United States and Canada business, and is responsible for driving revenue growth in transaction management, EasyLink's portfolio of services that help customers better manage business processes in addition to delivering transactions or messages.
Gary Dobel is a seasoned sales and general management executive with a track record of maximizing profitability and revenue growth for network services and solutions companies. He joins EasyLink from MCI, where he was Vice President and General Manager for their mid-Atlantic region. In this role he lead the teams responsible for sales, service, technical support and customer implementation. During the course of his 14-year career at MCI he also held the positions of National Vice President, MCI Solutions, Regional Vice President Global Accounts, and Regional Vice President National Accounts. Dobel started his career at MCI as an account executive, and was promoted to sales manager and regional branch manager before leaving MCI for sales and general management positions at AT&T and then MFS Communications. He returned to MCI in 1996 by way of its multi-billion Dollar acquisition of MFS.
In the new position, Gary leads the EasyLink sales team responsible for the company's growth engine - Transaction Management Services.
