    ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 12, 2005--

NCR RealPOS(TM) terminals running Pinnacle Palm POS(TM) software replace personal computers in all Flash Foods locations

NCR Corporation (NYSE:NCR) today announced that Flash Foods - a leading regional convenience store chain in Georgia and North Florida - has rolled out NCR RealPOS 70 point-of-sale (POS) terminals and NCR RealPOS thermal printers in its 180-plus stores.
The Pinnacle Corporation, an NCR reseller and Platinum level member of the NCR RealPartner program, is responsible for the sale. The solution includes Pinnacle's Palm POS application.
Flash Foods managed the installation of its new POS solution, replacing personal computers that consisted of multiple components, including separate processors and monitors with associated cabling. Flash Foods also services its store-automation technology.
"With the integrated solution in our stores, we have reduced excessive wiring and virtually eliminated service calls related to disconnected cables," said Flash Foods Store Automation Technical Manager Jamie Sweat. "In addition, the easy-to-service design of the NCR RealPOS 70 simplifies troubleshooting and minimizes downtime."
Flash Foods Director of Retail Automation Ken Wade is pleased with the aesthetics and small footprint of the NCR RealPOS 70. "By eliminating the PC tower, this solution has allowed us to free up space under the counter," Wade said.
In addition to Palm POS, Flash Foods uses Pinnacle's Oasis Manager Workstation(TM). "Pinnacle software is helping us improve performance from the front counter to the back office to company headquarters, where we maintain our scanning files," said Flash Foods Chief Information Officer Jenny Bullard.
