Fiserv Inc. Reveals 3% Advance In Q3 Profit

(RTTNews) - Fiserv Inc. (FISV) reported a profit for its third quarter that advanced from last year.

The company said its bottom line rose to $253 million, or $1.14 per share. This was higher than $245 million, or $1.03 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.13 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 5.3% to $1.38 billion. This was up from $1.31 billion last year.
