Evertec Q3 Profit Meets View, But Revenues Miss; Declares Dividend

(RTTNews) - Evertec, Inc. (EVTC), a provider of transaction processing services in Latin America and the Caribbean, said its third-quarter net income rose to $19.09 million or $0.24 per share from $14.80 million or $0.18 per share in the prior-year qurter.

Adjusted net income per share for the quarter was $0.40, compared to $0.36 per share in the year-ago period. On average, eight analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.40 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Total revenues for the quarter edged up to $88.64 million from $87.41 million in the prior-year quarter. Analysts had a consensus revenue estimate of $92.36 million for the quarter.

Evertec's board of directors declared a regular quarterly dividend of $0.10 per share, to be paid on December 5, 2014 to stockholders of record as of November 17, 2014.

The company's board expects to declare the dividend in future quarters on a regular basis. However, future declarations are subject to board approval and may be adjusted as business needs or market conditions change.
