Escalade Posts Loss In Q2; Raises Dividend - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Escalade, Inc. (ESCA) Monday reported second-quarter loss of $8.1 million or $0.57 per share compared with a profit of $2.6 million or $0.19 per share a year ago.

As a result of its decision to exit the Information Security business, the company incurred an impairment of certain assets totaling $12.9 million.

Revenue from the Sporting Goods business remained flat at $38.0 million year-over-year.

The board unanimously approved a decision to focus on the Sporting Goods segment and plans to sell the Information Security business as well as exit from the Print Finishing segment.

Further, it raised the quarterly dividend to $0.10 per share from $0.09 per share, which will be paid to shareholders on September 14, and disbursed on September 21.
