Energy Transfer Partners Reveals 43% Retreat In Q2 Profit

(RTTNews) - Energy Transfer Partners (ETP) reported a profit for second quarter that declined compared to the same period last year.

The company said its earnings dropped to $370 million, or $0.10 per share. This was lower than $654 million, or $0.67 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.10 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 54.2% to $5.29 billion. This was down from $11.54 billion last year.
