Energy Transfer Equity L.P. Announces 10% Gain In Q1 Bottom Line

(RTTNews) - Energy Transfer Equity L.P. (ETE) reported a profit for its first quarter that gained ground from last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $312 million, or $0.30 per share. This was higher than $284 million, or $0.26 per share, in last year's first quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.29 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 23.1% to $7.98 billion. This was down from $10.38 billion last year.
