eBay Showcases 75-Carat Diamond Necklace During Academy Awards Week

A one-of-a-kind, 75-carat necklace of Royal Asscher® Cut diamonds, valued at $1.8 million, will be featured in the second annual eBay® (Nasdaq:EBAY) Style Suite as part of its offerings to stylists and celebrities who are dressing for the Academy Awards®. Specially created in celebration of the Academy Awards, the Art Deco-inspired necklace, made of 97 Royal Asscher Cut diamonds and black onyx, was designed in collaboration with the Royal Asscher Diamond Company and luxury jewelry retailer and eBay seller, Give Jewels. From February 25 through March 7, this incredible necklace -- along with nine additional signature Asscher pieces -- will be for sale in a charity auction through eBay Giving Works at www.ebay.com/royalasscherdiamonds. The eBay Style Suite eBay Jewelry Style Director Sandra Graham and eBay Style Director Constance White created the suite to allow stylists and celebrities to choose from the showpiece jewelry, apparel and accessories that can be found on eBay. More than $6 million worth of treasured jewels will be on display in the eBay suite. In addition, the suite will feature a remarkable mix of fashion treasures, including a vintage Miriam Haskell bracelet and vintage pieces by Gianni Versace, Halston, Judith Leiber, and Travilla — dating as far back as the 1940s — as well as new dresses and accessories from top fashion names including Lanvin, Collette Dinningan, Jimmy Choo, Balenciaga, Douglas Hannant, Stephen Burrows, Adrienne Landau and Armando Piquer. eBay store Give Jewels will sell additional jewelry from the eBay Style Suite through eBay Giving Works, with 50 percent of the profits benefiting the Acumen Fund, an organization that uses entrepreneurial approaches to solve the problems of global poverty.
