E2open Q1 Loss Widens; Issues Q2 Outlook - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - E2open, Inc. (EOPN) posted a first-quarter net loss of $5.4 million, wider than $2.4 million in the prior year quarter. Loss per share for the latest first quarter was $0.21, narrower than $0.38 per share in the comparable quarter last year.

On a Non-GAAP basis, net loss widened to $4.0 million or $0.15 per share from $1.9 million or $0.08 per share in the comparable quarter last year. On average, six analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.20 per share. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Meanwhile, total revenue for the quarter rose to $15.60 million from $15.47 million in the year-ago quarter, while non-GAAP revenue for the quarter was $16.12 million, up from $15.47 million last year. Five analysts had a consensus revenue estimate of $15.75 million for the quarter.

Going ahead, the company expects a second quarter non-GAAP loss to be in the range of $0.18 per share to $0.15 per share. The company expects to see non-GAAP revenues in a range between $17.0 million and $17.5 million for the second quarter.

Analysts currently expect the company to report a loss per share of $0.10 per share on revenues of $18.28 million in the second quarter.

For fiscal year 2014, the company expects Non-GAAP loss to be in the range of $0.36 per share to $0.33 per share. The company expects to post fiscal 2014 non-GAAP revenues in a range between $77.5 million and $79.0 million.

The Street expects the company to report a loss per share of $0.36 on revenues of $77.83 million.
