Disney World Making Kids Get Fingerprinted

(RTTNews) - Walt Disney World has started verifying fingerprint of all guests ages 3 and up before they enter the theme parks.

Earlier, guests aged 10 and above were required to have their fingerprint scanned before entering the park, now the new policy requires children ages 3 to 9 to have their finger scanned.

According to Disney, the new policy helps the company to ensure a seamless entry experience for guests and also control ticket fraud.

Disney's finger scanners are used at all of the theme parks and water parks. Disney uses biometric technology, which takes an image of a guest's finger and then converts it into a unique numerical value and discards the image. The fingerprint is not stored.
