Berlin, 21 December 2017: HMS Bergbau AG announces the sale of a 5 percent interest in its subsidiary Silesian Coal S.A. bringing its ownership in Silesian Coal S.A. to 95 percent. The buyer is a Swiss company specialised in such investments and financing arrangements. HMS and the buyer intend to jointly manage the subsidiary's operating development and the financing arrangements of these activities. The purchase price is based on the valuation of Silesian Coal S.A. of a low, triple-digit euro million amount. Both parties agreed to keep further details of the transaction confidential.
