Dave & Buster's Q4 Results Top Estimates

(RTTNews) - Dave & Buster's Entertainment, Inc. (PLAY) reported net income for the fourth quarter of $14.7 million or $0.34 per share, compared to $4.9 million or $0.14 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Excluding items, pro forma net income for the fourth quarter was $14.1 million or $0.33 per share, compared to $7.7 million or $0.18 per share in the prior year quarter.

Total revenues for the fourth quarter rose 20.8% to $207.1 million from $171.4 million a year earlier. Same-store sales for the quarter increased 10.5%.

Analysst polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.28 per share on revenue of $201.38 million for the fourth quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Looking forward to fiscal year 2015, which ends on January 31, 2016, the company forecasts total revenues of $808 million to $822 million, same- store sales increase of 3.0% to 4.0% and net income of $36.7 million to $40.4 million. Analysts currently expect the company to earn $0.90 per share on revenue of $817.91 million for the fiscal year 2015.
