Cypress Semiconductor Q4 Profit Climbs

(RTTNews) - Cypress Semiconductor (CY) released earnings for its fourth quarter that climbed from last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $104.68 million, or $0.28 per share. This was up from $53.82 million, or $0.15 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.25 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 12.7% to $597.55 million. This was up from $530.17 million last year.
