Cellular One Unveils New Mobile Home Page; Redesign Makes Mobile Web Surfing Easier
Cellular One - a leader in deploying wireless technologies - saysthousands of its customers use its wireless Internet feature - knownas Signalink - to access websites on their cell phones each day. Theredesigned Cellular One mobile homepage was created around feedbackfrom those consumers.
"Thanks to our state-of-the-art data network, Cellular Onecustomers across the country are doing more than ever before withtheir wireless telephones," said Cellular One Director of Product andHandset Marketing Ken Hammaker. "Customers who are browsing theInternet on their handsets are looking for easier access to thecontent in which they are the most interested. That's why we looked atcustomer usage patterns and redesigned our mobile home page tosimplify the user experience."
Notable changes on the Cellular One mobile home page include fivenew buttons that give customers access to popular features with asingle click: ringtones, wallpaper, games, applications and mobilewebsites.
In addition, Cellular One has added the dynamic game "The Fast andFurious: Tokyo Drift," and put The Weather Channel on its list ofmobile websites.
