Canada's Largest Workplace Health & Safety Conference Set for May 2018
Partners in Prevention Explores "Shifting Landscapes in Health & Safety"
TORONTO, Feb. 15, 2018 /CNW/ - The Canadian health and safety landscape is constantly shifting. Whether it's new legislation, innovations in technology, quality and safety standards, changing demographics or workplace culture, today's health and safety community is challenged with staying ahead of the curve.
"Shifting Landscapes in Health & Safety" is the theme at Partners in Prevention 2018,Canada's largest and longest-running health and safety conference and trade show. Partners in Prevention 2018 returns on May 1 and 2, 2018 at The International Centre, 6900 Airport Road. The conference features two days of celebrated keynote speakers, cutting-edge sessions, workshops and professional development courses. New extended sessions on the impact of legal access to marijuana and its impact on the workplace and managing addictions: stress and mental wellbeing have been added to the conference program this year. A large and active trade show with over 400 booths features the latest in market trends, workplace products and services, and interactive experiences for the health and safety professional.
Celebrated keynote speakers will include:
- Tuesday, May 1 – Opening Keynote: Seth Mattison, Trend Spotter and Workforce Strategist. "The Future of Work Today: Insights from the New World ofWork."
- Tuesday, May 1 – Lunch Keynote: Dr. Greg Wells, CTV Sport Science Analyst, Human Physiologist. "Eat. Sleep. Move."
- Wednesday, May 2 – Morning Keynote: Amanda Lindhout, Kidnap Survivor, Bestselling Author, and Journalist. "A House in the Sky."
- Wednesday, May 2 – Lunch Keynote: Dave Carroll, Singer-Songwriter, "United Breaks Guitars – The Power of One Voice in the Age of Social Media."
