CA Names David Hansen Chief Information Officer

ISLANDIA, N.Y., Sept. 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CA today announced that David Hansen has been named senior vice president and chief information officer, reporting to Jim Bryant, CA's chief administrative officer. His appointment is effective immediately.

"His extensive IT background in application development and his wide-ranging network and systems management skills -- combined with his leadership, business insight and overall technology expertise -- make him the ideal CIO for CA."

Hansen's responsibilities include direct oversight of CA's global infrastructure strategy and delivery, IT compliance and international IT organization. Additionally, he will oversee the internal adoption and implementation of CA solutions based on the company's Enterprise IT Management (EITM) vision.

Hansen has more than 18 years of professional experience leading IT organizations. He joined CA in 2002 and, in 2003, was named senior vice president, CA Technology Services for North America. In 2005, Hansen was named senior vice president for worldwide presales where he was responsible for a team of 1,400 employees, enhanced customer relationships, and created technology teams focused on security, storage and infrastructure management.

Prior to CA, Hansen led IT for the Canadian division of Bowater Inc. where he was responsible for IT infrastructure, technology acquisition and integration, and ERP implementation.
