Buick Envision Earns Coveted Safety Award
(RTTNews) - The Buick Envision has been picked as the Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. A rating of TSP+ is the highest rating a vehicle can earn from the IIHS.
The Envision is the first Chinese-built vehicle that IIHS has tested as part of its consumer ratings. It earns good ratings across the board for crashworthiness and is available with Front Automatic Braking, an advanced-rated front crash prevention system.
A vehicle requires to earn good ratings in the five crashworthiness tests to qualify for a TSP+ rating. The crash tests include small overlap front, moderate overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraints and an advanced or superior rating for front crash prevention.
