Boeing CEO James McNerney Gets Total Compensation Of $23.3 Mln In 2013

(RTTNews) - Boeing Co. (BA) said CEO James McNerney's total compensation fell to $23.3 million from $27.5 million last year, excluding stock option exercises, as a $6.4 million decline in pension value outweighed a $2.1 million rise in a long-term performance award. His basic pay remained $1.93 million, while stock and option awards were also in line with 2012 levels at $3.76 million.

In its latest proxy filing, Boeing said Mr. McNerney's actual compensation realized," or take-home pay, for 2013 was $39.2 million, up from $20.1 million a year earlier. This figure includes exercised options and vested stock awards, but excludes changes in pension value and perks.

The company's Chief Financial Officer Gregory Smith received total compensation of $3.6 million, up from the previous year's $3.2 million. The components of Gregory Smith's pay are $686 thousand of base salary, $616 thousand of stock awards, non-equity incentive plan compensation of $1.55 million, and all other compensations of $95 thousand. The compensation also includes option awards of $616 thousand, and the change in pension value of $29 thousand.

BA closed Friday's regular trading session at $123.11, up $1.22 or 1.00% on a volume of 5.70 million shares. In after hours, the stock further gained $0.27 or 0.22% at $123.38.
