BioTime CEO Michael D. West to Present at Stem Cells USA & Regenerative Medicine Congress 2011

BioTime, Inc. (NYSE Amex:BTX), a biotechnology company that develops and markets products in the field of regenerative medicine, today announced that Chief Executive Officer Michael D. West, Ph.D. will present at the Stem Cells USA & Regenerative Medicine Congress 2011 in Boston, MA at 9:35 a.m. EDT on Wednesday, September 14, 2011. Dr. West’s presentation, "A roadmap for successful commercialization of hES and iPS cell-based therapies,” will include a discussion of the necessity for novel and stringent purification methods and the practicality of monoclonal purification in the manufacture of embryonic progenitors, including vascular cells being used by BioTime’s subsidiaries ReCyte Therapeutics, Inc. and OncoCyte Corporation.
