Bill O'Reilly Will Not Return To Fox News
(RTTNews) - Controversial Fox News political commentator Bill O'Reilly will not return to the conservative cable news channel, parent company 21st Century Fox (FOXA) announced on Wednesday.
The decision to move on from O'Reilly comes amid news of numerous allegations of sexual harassment against the popular television personality.
"After a thorough and careful review of the allegations, the Company and Bill O'Reilly have agreed that Bill O'Reilly will not be returning to the Fox News Channel," 21st Century Fox said in a statement.
O'Reilly is on vacation in Europe and had been due to return to the network on Monday to host his popular show "The O'Reilly Factor."
The move comes after a recent New York Times report said Fox or O'Reilly paid approximately $13 million to five women involving allegations of inappropriate behavior by O'Reilly.
The departure of O'Reilly comes after Fox News founder and CEO Roger Ailes resigned last summer in the wake of sexual harassment allegations.
