Bassett Furniture Industries Q4 Profit Declines

(RTTNews) - Bassett Furniture Industries Inc. (BSET) Thursday announced fourth quarter net income of $5.045 million, down 4.4 percent from $5.682 million a year ago.

On a per share basis, earnings declined to $0.47 from $0.53 last year. On average, three analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.44 per share. Analysts estimates usually exclude special items.

Total revenue for the quarter decreased to $113.447 million from $115.555 million a year ago. Wall Street expected the company to earn $112.79 million.

Company-owned store sales increased 5.5 percent to $69.9 million, compared to $66.3 million, a year ago.
