Bassett Furniture Industries Q3 Profit Surges - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Bassett Furniture Industries Inc. (BSET) reported third-quarter net income of $2.3 million or $0.21 per share, compared to $0.5 million or $0.05 per share in the comparable quarter last year.

Operating income for the quarter was $3.4 million or 4.0% of sales as compared to $0.8 million or 1.0% of sales for the prior year quarter.

Company-owned store delivered sales increased 17%, including a comparable store sales increase of 13%, compared to the prior year quarter.

Quarterly sales were $85.2 million up 10.4% from $77.2 million in the prior year quarter.
