Atlas Resource Partners Closes Unit Offering For $129 Mln.

(RTTNews) - Atlas Resource Partners L.P. (ARP) said Friday it closed its underwritten public offering of 6.325 million common units at an offering price of $21.18 per unit. Net proceeds from the offering were about $129 million, after deducting certain expenses.

The offering includes the full exercise of the underwriters' over-allotment option to purchase additional common units.

The Partnership plans to use the proceeds from the offering to fund its acquisition of natural gas assets from GeoMet Inc. and its subsidiaries. Some proceeds may be used for general purposes, it said.
