Atlantic Tele-Network Q3 Profit Declines, But Revenues Increase - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Atlantic Tele-Network, Inc. (ATNI) posted third-quarter net income attributable to company stockholders of $16.17 million or $1.01 per share, down from $276.22 million or $17.43 per share in the comparable quarter last year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.56 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The year-ago period's results were inclusive of $2.7 million in transaction-related charges, as well as $10.4 million of interest rate swap contract termination charges and the write off of deferred financing costs, which were both related to the pre-payment of the company's long term debt under its credit facility.

Income from continuing operations for the quarter were $18.91 million or $1.01 per share, compared to $4.52 million or $0.10 per share in the year-ago period.

Total revenue for the quarter grew 13 percent to $89.39 million from $79.35 million in the same period last year.
