Arcadis confirms its team in Brazil supports Federal Authorities with their information request on the São Francisco project

(14 December 2015) In light of local press reports Arcadis confirms its team in Brazil are providing information in support of a broad investigation into a number of construction companies which are active in the São Francisco project in Brazil, a large water management project in northern Brazil.

As a member of a 50/50 consortium that is led by local Brazilian peer company Concremat, Arcadis Logos, the Brazilian daughter company of Arcadis, fulfills the role of program manager on the São Francisco project. The consortium works directly for the Brazilian Ministry of National Integration. As program manager, the Concremat / Arcadis Logos consortium provides management and technical support on behalf of the client. The Concremat / Arcadis Logos consortium does not perform construction activities.

Arcadis is fully cooperating with the Federal Authorities who visited the Arcadis offices in Sao Paulo and the house of one of its project managers on Friday December 11. Also, as part of its standard Business Compliance Policy, Arcadis has initiated its own assessment.
