Amgen Inc. Announces 6% Advance In Q1 Bottom Line

(RTTNews) - Amgen Inc. (AMGN) reported a profit for its first quarter that gained ground compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $2.33 billion, or $3.15 per share. This was higher than $2.20 billion, or $2.90 per share, in last year's first quarter.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 1.3% to $5.46 billion. This was down from $5.53 billion last year.
