American Tower Corp. Reveals 17% Gain In Q1 Earnings

(RTTNews) - American Tower Corp. (AMT) reported earnings for its first quarter that increased compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line rose to $602.45 million, or $1.41 per share. This was higher than $513.65 million, or $1.25 per share, in last year's first quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.30 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 19.4% to $1.29 billion. This was up from $1.08 billion last year.
