American Tower Corp. Announces 9% Increase In Q2 Bottom Line

(RTTNews) - American Tower Corp. (AMT) reported a profit for its second quarter that advanced from last year.

The company said its bottom line came in at $570.46 million, or $1.38 per share. This was up from $524.26 million, or $1.26 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.39 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 23.1% to $1.44 billion. This was up from $1.17 billion last year.
