American States Water Co. Reveals 3% Advance In Q3 Profit

(RTTNews) - American States Water Co. (AWR) revealed a profit for its third quarter that gained ground compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $21.64 million, or $0.59 per share. This was higher than $21.08 million, or $0.56 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.58 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 6.9% to $123.81 million. This was down from $132.98 million last year.
