Alliant Energy Corp Announces 19% Increase In Q3 Bottom Line

(RTTNews) - Alliant Energy Corp (LNT) reported a profit for its third quarter that climbed from last year.

The company said its bottom line came in at $184.7 million, or $1.63 per share. This was higher than $155.2 million, or $1.40 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.55 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 6.6% to $898.9 million. This was up from $843.1 million last year.
