Alcan Awarded EAFA Trophy for New Formpack(R) Packaging

SINGEN, Germany, April 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Alcan has been awarded The European Aluminium Foil Association's (EAFA) 2007 Alufoil Trophy to for its new Formpack(R) laminate with integrated moisture barrier dessicant.

Formpack(R) laminate with integrated desiccant was developed by Alcan Packaging Singen and provides a 100% moisture barrier that reliably and safely protects moisture-sensitive, dry pharmaceuticals for years. The extended shelf life is made possible through a sophisticated packaging solution that restricts cross diffusion via the sealing layer.
