AFLAC Inc Reveals 11% Advance In Q3 Bottom Line

(RTTNews) - AFLAC Inc (AFL) revealed earnings for its third quarter that gained ground from last year.

The company said its bottom line came in at $748 million, or $1.82 per share. This was up from $672 million, or $1.56 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.74 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 13.5% to $5.72 billion. This was up from $5.04 billion last year.
