Aeropostale Slips To Loss In Q3 - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Aeropostale Inc. (ARO) Wednesday reported third-quarter net loss of $25.6 million or $0.33 per share, compared to net income of $24.9 million or $0.31 per share in the comparable quarter last year.

Excluding special items, adjusted loss for the latest third quarter was $22.9 million or $0.29 per share.

Sales decreased 15 percent to $514.59 million from $605.92 million a year ago. Comparable sales, including the e-commerce channel, for the third quarter decreased 15 percent.

On average, analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated a loss of $0.24 per share on revenues of $520.20 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Looking forward to the fourth quarter, the company expects a net loss of $0.24 to $0.32 per share. Analysts currently expect a loss of $0.08 per share for the quarter.
