ACS Honors 2008 ACS MIDAS+ Platinum Quality Award Winners for Excellence in Clinical Performance
Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. (NYSE: ACS) today announced the winners of the 2008 ACS MIDAS+ Platinum Quality Awards, which recognize excellence in clinical healthcare.
The 28 hospitals/medical facilities were honored for their achievement in the areas of quality outcomes, care efficiency and consistent delivery of evidence-based best practices in nursing and medicine. The winning organizations were selected based upon comparative performance of more than 550 hospitals that use the MIDAS+ Comparative Performance Measurement System (CPMS) for tracking facility performance, or MIDAS+ DataVision solutions, a data management system. The second annual awards were presented at the 18th Annual MIDAS+ User Symposium in Tucson, Arizona.
"These respected client organizations, which have selected ACS as their technology partner, have excelled in their clinical performance as a result of using our products to improve the delivery of healthcare for patients in their facilities,” said Jim DeWeese, senior vice president, ACS MIDAS+.
