ACS Awarded BPO Contract Renewal With PepsiAmericas
DALLAS, April 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Affiliated Computer Services, Inc., , a premier provider of business process outsourcing and information technology solutions, announced today that it has been awarded a renewed business process outsourcing (BPO) contract with PepsiAmericas. The three-year contract is valued at just under $5 million. PepsiAmericas is the second largest Pepsi bottler in the world with operations in the United States, Central Europe, and the Caribbean.
ACS has been delivering a range of BPO services for PepsiAmericas for more than five years. These services will continue under the extended contract, and include advanced document scanning, indexing, and storage services supporting PepsiAmericas' large volume of Proof of Delivery (POD) receipts and other pertinent documentation. ACS will continue to handle daily receipt of thousands of images, inventory management, document preparation, scanning and indexing, data collection, and interim file management.
ACS' services have progressively grown in scope over the course of the relationship, in response to PepsiAmericas' evolving needs and consistent growth. Under the renewed agreement, ACS will process more than 1.7 million images per month. The agreement underscores ACS' depth and breadth of capacity in handling large-volume, global-scale imaging requirements.
"ACS enables us to take advantage of the latest advances in system technology and process improvements without the cost and resource commitment that would be required to maintain in-house systems or imaging operations," said Bill Holada, Director of Financial Services at PepsiAmericas. "We have had a very successful working partnership with ACS thus far, and our decision to renew this contract was without hesitation."
In delivering its services to PepsiAmericas, ACS will host a state-of-the- art FileNet imaging system from its Dallas, Texas, data center. Scanning functions will continue to be performed in ACS' Schaumburg, Illinois, facility. Through the FileNet system, ACS provides access to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense reports documents, as well as validation of all inbound PepsiAmericas' driver-delivered POD documents. As PepsiAmericas has acquired other regional bottlers, ACS has also converted their legacy images from other imaging systems and made them available to PepsiAmericas' system users, ensuring ready access to critical business data.
"ACS' leading edge imaging technology, service, and overall capabilities enable companies like PepsiAmericas to have business-critical financial information at their fingertips whenever they need it," said Ann Vezina, Group President of ACS Commercial Solutions. "We've been able to expand the scope of our services, provide a technology refresh, and access to the latest in scanning, imaging, and storage tools to create a superior platform of support for PepsiAmericas' continued growth."
