Turkey Industrial Production Rises In April
(RTTNews) - Turkey's industrial production advanced in April, snapping two months of declines, figures from the Turkish Statistical Institute showed Monday.
Industrial production rose 1.0 percent monthly in April, reversing some of the revised 0.3 percent drop each in March and February.
Manufacturing production expanded 0.4 percent in April while, mining and quarrying and utility output climbed by 3.9 percent and 3.4 percent, respectively.
On a yearly basis, industrial production rose a calender adjusted 4.6 percent in April, faster than March's 4.2 percent growth and well above economists' forecast for an increase of 3.3 percent.
Manufacturing output increased 4.2 percent annually in April and mining and quarrying output surged 9.3 percent.
