South Korea Consumer Sentiment Spikes In May - BoK
(RTTNews) - Consumer sentiment in South Korea surged in May, the Bank of Korea said on Friday with an index score of 108.0 - up from 101.2 in April.
Sentiment regarding current living standards and their future outlook were two and five points higher respectively than in the month before, at 92 and 103.
Consumer sentiment related to current domestic economic conditions was 13 points above that during April at 82, and that for their future outlook was 22 points higher at 111.
Sentiment concerning future household income had increased by three points from the previous month to stand at 102, while that on expected spending remained unchanged at 106.
The expectation for inflation over the following year was 2.5.
