Slovenia Inflation Accelerates In May

(RTTNews) - Slovenia's consumer price inflation increased in May, after easing in the previous month, figures from the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia showed Friday.

The consumer price index rose 0.7 percent year-on-year in May, following a 0.4 percent increase in the previous month.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices climbed 0.6 percent in May, after a 0.5 percent increase seen in April.

The harmonized index of consumer prices grew 1.0 percent annually in May, after a 0.5 percent increase in the previous month. Month-on-Month, HICP rose 0.7 percent.

Separately, the statistical office announced that import prices dropped 1.9 percent annually in April, after a 2.7 percent decline in the previous month. Prices rose 0.2 percent from the previous month.
