Slovakia Economic Sentiment At Highest Since June 2012
(RTTNews) - Slovakia's economic sentiment improved for the third straight month in May to reach its highest level in nearly two years, figures from the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic showed Friday.
The economic sentiment index improved sharply to 99.0 in May from 96.3 in the previous month. This was the highest level since June 2012, when the reading stood at 99.7
Consumer sentiment continued to improve in May, with the index rising to -11.5 from -13.5 in April. This was the highest level since September 2008.
At the same time, construction confidence indicator remained unchanged at -31.0. Industrial confidence recovered and the index surged to 1.3 in May from -0.7 in April.
