Mexico June Jobless Rate Eases More Than Expected

(RTTNews) - Mexico's unemployment rate dropped more-than-expected in June to the lowest in three months, figures from the statistical office INEGI showed Friday.

The unadjusted jobless rate eased to 4.80 percent from 4.92 percent in May. Economists had forecast a figure of 4.91 percent.

The June rate equaled March's figure and was the lowest since February, when it was 4.65 percent.

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell to 4.84 percent in June from 4.96 percent in May, revised from 5 percent. Economists were looking for a figure of 4.96 percent.
