Malaysia Trade Data On Tap For Friday
(RTTNews) - Malaysia will on Friday release February figures for imports, exports and trade balance, highlighting a light day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.
Imports were worth 57.6 billion ringgit in January, while exports were at 63.9 billion ringgit for a trade surplus of 6.3 billion ringgit.
The Philippines will see March numbers for consumer prices and February figures for producer prices.
CPI is expected to rise 0.2 percent on month and 4.2 percent on year after a flat monthly reading and an increase of 4.0 percent on year in February. PPI was up 0.6 percent on month and 0.1 percent on year in January.
Finally, the stock market in Taiwan will be closed on Friday for Children's Day, and will re-open on Monday.
