Latvia Producer Price Inflation Rises In April

(RTTNews) - Latvia's producer price inflation accelerated in April, after easing in the previous month, figures from the Central Statistical Bureau showed Friday.

The producer price index rose 0.8 percent year-on-year in April, following a 0.6 percent increase in the previous month. In February, prices moved up 1.0 percent.

Domestic market producer prices increased by 0.1 percent annually, while those for the export market rose 1.5 percent.

On a monthly basis, producer prices increased 0.3 percent in April, in contrast to a 0.2 percent drop registered in the previous month. Products sold in the domestic market rose 0.7 percent, while in the foreign market fell by 0.3 percent.
